DD has plans to open 25-30 more stores in the Columbia area, but I don't know when one will open in Lexington. The next one to open will be downtown on Main Street, I've seen the sign in the middle. I prefer Dunkin to Krispy Kreme, hands down.

Boo, hiss! Krispey Kreme's are the bomb!

You from up North waccamatt? Usually I've noticed Northerners and people who's parents came from the North prefer DD to KK.

Not universally, just usually...

Blasphemy! That is almost as bad as preferring Pepsi over Coke. Tea without sugar. Oatmeal over grits

^^ as a northerner who hopes to become a southerner:
pepsi vs coke: no biggie since i dont drink "pop"
tea without sugar: the only way to go
oatmeal over grits: if it comes in a pack and you just add water: all good

DD over KK: my early college years had many stops at bar time ( err, i mean study time ) at DD.... nothing hits the spot like donuts and chili!! Plus KK was not even around to compare to.

But to be honest, nearly ANY donut can be a piece of heaven....

Ranger, I can drink tea hot or cold, with or without sugar. But I prefer it to be like hummingbird food.

And donuts w/chili?? Somethin' bad wrong there, hombre!

i'll just say that after a rough night of... studying... that one in the midst of youth does NOT always think about what food they partake in. And who would have thought that a donut shop had good chili???

I was born up north, but I've lived in Columbia for 80% of my life. As far as DD versus Krispy Kreme, there must be some reason why there are a number of Dunkin Donuts locations in Columbia, but only one Krispy Kreme.

I used to pray that Bessingers would go national until Krispy Kreme did. Comparing the old KK to the new is saying that Paris Hilton is just like Ursula Andress was.

In short when something goes national, "gets discovered", it's the death knell for it.

Which is why Charleston is, well........

hey hey hey. i could give a flying flim flabbit about the donuts. . .DDs has "donuts" in their name, but those who are in the know, know its all about their coffee. hook us up with a large turbo ice regular (that's w/ cream & sugar for the rest of you) and we're in nirvana!
