Dr. Alyson Jones is a good ob/gyn. 803-936-7590 should be the phone number.

no she is not.She perform c-section simply because she is bored. She claims a low c-section rate but the entire time I was in the hospital she NEVER, not once, stopped by to check on me. Her excuse - I was doing a c-section....hmmmI came in at 4cm over 5 hours progressed to 9cm. once I got to 9 cm she gave me 30 minutes to get to 10 or I was having a c-section.She stood over me the entire time despite my birth plan clearly stating I wanted to be alone with my family unless I needed her.Speaking of family when she saw that my children came with me she about had a heart attack. I later found out she called CPS because they were there. Of course CPS rolled thier eyes and thought she was an idiot. She is very anti family, anti natural birth, and all for every intervention under the sun. My vagina became her personal science project, completely disregarding my plans, breaking my water shoving in monitors and probes much to my objection.I've had 5 children naturally all with different dr's.However with her I ended up with a c-section because she was bored.Baby was stable I was stable, she was just bored and ticked my family showed.Being under her care was by far the WORST experience of my life. She spent my entire pregnancy acting like she would repect my plans and was all for what ever I wanted to do, however when I was in labor she completely flipped on me.Good Dr. HA! I think not.I know of 3 other women who all have similar complaints. Dr. Jones should be ashamed of herself. She is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Womens physicians associates: Women Physicians Associates
The best in columia. Get Dr. risinger, painter or linfert. Wonderful. Don't even think anything else. Just go there and you will thank me at the end.

I also had a horrible experience with Dr. Jones. She gave me pitocin to speed up my labor even though I was progressing normally. Then she said the baby couldn't handle the labor and shoved papers in my lap saying if I didn't consent to a c-section my baby would die. I later took my medical records to another doctor who was baffled as to why I was told that. He agreed I never should of been given pitocin and a c-section was not needed.I had two normal births prior to delivering with Alyson Jones. She is c-setion / drug happy. What bothers me the most is she pretended to be pro natural birth prior to me actually being in labor.TWO BIG THUMBS DOWN for women physicians, in peticular for Dr. Alyson Jones.

I will bend over backward to recommend Dr. Stacy Smithson of Lake Murray OB/GYN. He's an extremely competent doctor. And he has an amazing personality!! He has a way about him that will ease your concerns, he's candid (even though I couldn't switch to Coke Zero) and he is more than welcome to accommodate dad and siblings. I feel grateful to him because he took the time to answer my husband's NUMEROUS questions.
I remember the delivery of my son... he let me keep VH1/MTV (whatever) on so I could sing to keep my mind off of what was going on... He seemed so proud of the baby, like part of the family.
Just absolutely wonderful.
