Default Housing in HillCreek Irmo.Help!

We moved here in jun '08 from New Jersey.Presently staying in the harbison area.Looking to buy within the next few months. My girl is in dist5 schools and we want to keep it that way.So went to see the HillCreek neighbourhood in Irmo.V nice houses.how would u rate this neighbourhood? older construction VS newer? Also since we r first time home buyers what should we be looking at when buying? we r keen on the dist5 schools and also dont want to move too far from columbia ameneties. is lexington a better option?

Lexington and Irmo are both nice and you would be able to find a good place in either one, it all just depends on what you are looking for. As far as new vs. old houses, it again really depends on what you want. There are some great deals out there on new construction, and most of the time with a new house you know what you are getting. Everything is new. Do little research into both old and new and see what type of community you want to live in and what fits you best, within your budget.
