That was pretty funny, barely any snow by us (on the roof & bushes, and that's about it), and yet it's the lead story on the news...haha...we got more snow than this on Halloween some years in NE Ohio, this would be a yawn if it occured there. Guess I could see how it's a big deal though if you only see snow once every couple years.

i find it kinda funny--there are supposedly so many transplants from the north ( who in theory are used to driving in snow ); yet the state comes to a standstill when an inch is forecast.
Not like locals up here can all drive in the white stuff--there can be plenty of accidents but many are from those who drive far faster then they should.

+1. It was too much watching the news last night and seeing that schools were already closed.

Snow is nothing, I'd rather deal with that than the frigid temps.

There are a lot, but while the city has a few snowplows the outlying areas don't so they always panic, lol, and you know how parents are about their kids having to ride the bus. Of course only a little sand on the bridges was needed today. I think they should have waited until this morning to decide about school closings.

I think I've seen it snow here in Bishopville 3 times in 21 years. It happened to have been the 3rd time today..

I did a lot of driving and home showing in the snow today. It was fun, roads never got bad and virtually no traffic from Irmo to Forest Acres. The only negatives were I don't have the option of sleeping in and I had to reschedule a home inspection because snow on the roof prevented the inspector from being able to see condition.
Oh, and the yahoo going 25 on St. Andrews in a 40 and the 2 yahoos both going 30 across the dam when the roads were in great shape. The dam is a long drive when you're stuck behind a slow moving Suburban.
