Default Landscaping?

I am looking at South Carolina for a possible move in the future. I would be looking to run a landscaping business wherever I end up. How is the Columbia area for a landscaping? Is there alot of homes that need to be maintained?(mowing, trimming) How about renovating older landscapes, or new construction? Just looking for some local input? Thanks

There is a good deal of new construction taking place throughout Columbia and Lexington. There are also some new home communities being built in Kershaw. You should aslo be able to find homes in older communities where people want to have the yards done. I would say that it's possible to run a successful landscaping business here, if you are willing to put forth the effort to get the business.

I would also add that it's very competitive here as there are already a lot of landscapers. I think you may have a tough time up front moving in and not knowing anyone.
