Default Need advice on relocation

Hi, I'm new here! I'm from the NYC area and I want to relocate to SC. It's been something I've wanting to do for years but don't know how to start. I am currently experiencing family issues and I think it would be beneficial to relocate away from the stress of the city.

Would it be possible to relocate without job prospects? I currently hold a college degree in the legal field and I hope to find work where I can use my education/experience properly.

Any advice anyone here can provide would be absolutely appreciated!

While there are many, many jobs in the Columbia area in the legal field, is this really the time to relocate without a job offer in hand? Some of the bigger law firms in the Columbia are the McNair Law Firm, Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Nexsen Pruet. There are also many more. If you have enough savings to live for awhile and look for a job, you might be ok, but it could take a little while in today's economy.

Thank you for the quick response! I have emailed some properties I am interested in and plan to visit them for a weekend next month. Meanwhile I am shooting resumes to different areas of SC that could really use my skills; where I am currently living it's very hard on my family being that the economy is terrible.

Thanks again!
