Default Questions about moving to N Augusta

I am consiidering moving to North Augusta. However, I have never been to the area and don't know anyone there. After researching a lot a places, I think that it would be a pleasant change of pace from Long Beach, CA. However, all my research has been online, so it's credibility could be questioned.
I'm hoping to find a decent studio or one bedroom for $450. Is that reasonable for the area? And are there any areas that I should steer clear of? I know it's a small town, but most places still have a shadier area. I am alone and will not have a vehicle right away, so I need to feel secure wandering around alone in my own neighborhood.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I recommend you post this question on the Georgia forum, under Augusta. North Augusta and Augusta are just across the river from each other, so you should receive quick responses to your inquiry from that forum.

Good luck!

I don't recommend a studio for 450 in NA, unless it's someone you know (that's helping you out).
