Glad to hear you're getting some work, michakaveli. Did you get a business set up or are you doing mobile detailing?
It's still in it's infancy stages. I've only had two customer's so far, and they were local. I have no plans on being a mobile detailer. This is an endevour that I can handle on the weekends. If there is a job that may require working at the client's residence then it is something I'm willing to consider. If anyone needs any detailing done, send me a note
Exciting! What wax do you use? I have always preferred Meguiar's #26 Professional Hi-Tech Yellow Wax for the final coats of polish. It seems to provide the best results for a general auto wax and is very easy to wipe off. Depending on the paint condition, a variable speed buffer can be very helpful to remove the worst oxidation.

Thanks for your inquiry and comments.
A rotary buffer was used with various pads, wool and foam, in conjunction with Menzerna compunds and polishes. Finally the work was topped with a synthetic sealant.
The Meg's product is a great product. Not to be picky, but when you are applying a coat of the Meg's #26, you're not actually polishing, just waxing the paint surface. #26 does a nice job filling in the inconsistencies of the paint surface, in effect temporarily "leveling" the paint to help bring back some uniform clarity.
All photos, except the second to last photo (hood shot inside the garage), do NOT have any wax/sealant on the finish. It's all in the prep work and actual polishing :-)
This car took me about 20 hours total, from start to finish (including washing, compounding, polishing, etc...)
sounds interesting! Good luck with your new business in Columbia area.
Just curious, what is the charge (at least a rough idea) of interior cleaning (carpet, seats etc) for a mid-size sedan (Camry, accord, impala etc) for example ? What are other services that fall into car detailing service? I have never done and so have no idea. Just curiosity, if you don't mind. I might forward someone here if anyone needs such service.

I picked up a Porter Cable 3 years ago and it's still sitting in my garage, gathering dust, with another couple boxes of various pads. After doing things by hand for 25+ years it's just hard to change my routine. I know the finished product will be superior and my arms/shoulders will be much grateful, but old habits die hard.
One of these days I'll break it out and give 'er a try.
Looking good, michakaveli. Hope you're getting enough business to keep you busy/happy.

Thanks fors the kind words Ceezer. If you have any questions, send me a note.
Do you do paint job(complete or partial) also? If yes, at what rate for regular 4dr sedans?
Sorry, I do not do any painting.
