Awesome, possum! My daughter and I have done the boardwalk and trails, but what I'd really like to do is the (free!) canoe ride. Each time we'd schedule it, it would either rain or drop below 45 and be cancelled. Hopefully we'll be able to get one in early this fall, before temperatures start to drop that low.

I've only been to Congaree Park at night. There were only a few other cars there. It was awesome, completely dark but I've never seen fireflies in the south and it was amazing.

Now that you mention it, I've never seen fireflies here, either. And I even live outside of town...
