Default IT Jobs in Columbia, SC

I am relocating from New York City to Columbia, SC this June and looking for employment in the area. My background is in IT and was wondering if anyone knew how the IT job market is in the Columbia, SC area. After searching for jobs through Indeed and Dice, there seems to be some IT jobs, but not much compared to Atlanta or other big cities. I keep coming across the same jobs posted by multiple recruiters. So, really there seems to be not many jobs. If anyone could please provide me any suggestions or advice on this topic, that would be greatly appreciated.

Check with Computer Systems Corp, the major insurance companies based here (Colonial Life, Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC, Seibels Bruce, Palmetto GBA), the various colleges and universities and the hospital systems since state government isn't hiring much at the moment. Those are some good places to start.

Thank you for your help. I did take a look at these companies and actually applied for some positions with them through recruiters. I was just wondering if there were other companies apart from these that recruit IT professionals. I did take a look at Duck Creek Technologies, Bose, and Wilbur Smith Associates, but they don't seem to be hiring at the moment. I plan on attending some Chamber of Commerce events in the Columbia area to network with other professionals and see what I come across.

I don't work in IT so I'm not sure. The job market is pretty tight right now and I know we're not hiring where I work.
