A open letter to the Kershaw County Council (Columbia, Camden: renter, house)

Two days ago my life was threatened by the renters beside our property. He ambushed me in MY front yard while I was weed whacking and I barely made it into the house. He told me that he will "whoop my ass" and "kill me" and other obscene slurs I did not understand or want to repeated here.
Since then we are living under constant threat from this monster and we are hoping to move to Columbia by June 1 if we make it out of here alive.
We moved up close to Beaver Creek (Lake Wateree) one year ago, invested almost $300,000.00 in this community, made a point to buy exclusively in Camden\Kershaw county, paid our taxes and bothered nobody.
Since then our life has been threatened, we have been insulted,ignored,
laughed at, told that we should go back where we came from, have been told how dare we build such a "fancy" house here, told that we don't belong here and that "they" are longer here than we are and that we have no rights.
We have been taken advantage of by people, ripped of by a local builder.
We never before encountered such people in our life and never before have been in such a situation like this.
It is an absolute shame that taxpaying law-abiding citizens cannot live in
piece and quietness in this county and have to fear for their life because
of some deranged renter beside our property, not to speak about the constant barking dog intruding into our house from the people across the street for
almost 1 year now.
I can assure you that I will make it my life's goal to educate people
considering moving to Kershaw county and supply them with my extensive documentation about all the horrible things happened to us in this county.

That's a horrible situation and not at all like the people I know who are from Kershaw County. I hope you're able to sell your house soon.

Sadly the nice people never speak up, only in private but are afraid saying anything bad about the "good ol boys" network, like my friends elderly parents (in their 80's) who are threatened constantly by their white supremacist neighbor because they are Catholic and the family has dark hair, which makes them close to being Jewish in the eyes of this brainless garbage..

Maybe it's just me, but I would like to think if the situation was that severe the local law enforcement would be who you should call. I would follow that with a call to the landlord. I know plenty of people from that area and I have yet to encounter ones like you speak of. And for strangers, Kershaw Co is not full of hood wearing hate mongering supremacists.

My God! I have never! I'm a black, single mother who lives in peace among whites, blacks and everybody else in Kershaw County. I would be horrified by anyone coming up to me like you said they did to you. I've been in the county for more than 3 years and nothing even similar to this has happened to me. Please, don't blame the entire county. The people I've met so far make me proud to be a resident there. I agree with Mr. Hoffman that you should get law enforcement involved. You're not the one who needs to move, THEY are!

Mr Hoffman,
the landlord was one of the people who came of my house and insulted and threatened me and my wife after I called him and complained about the renters!
I called the Sheriff and he told me flat out that he will not arrest the renter, that I had to go to
court and get an arrest warrant. He also told me that the judge will throw the case out or fine him $50 and let him go. I don't have a dead wish.
I contacted the County council several times over the year, nothing. Contacted our district council member, he cant do anything.
I wrote and spoke with the Mayor of Camden.
I send a letter to the editor of the Camden Chronicle
Like I said, I have pages of documentation, including official police reports, I even have eye witnesses.
I don't brand the whole population of this county as KKK members, but there are elements in this county who get away with anything and nobody stops them.
