I have eaten at Doc's a few times and it is really good.
I haven't been for a while, but what about Southern Pig in Blythewood off of Blythewood Rd in the IGA shopping center. It's a buffet and used to be pretty good, I guess it still is, but like I say I haven't been there in a while.

Anybody know if Country Cuzins is still around?? They had great bbq and were located in a little town called Coward, SCThey were close to each other... in Florence County. They moved over to somewhere by Lake City and I lost touch.

School House BBQ in Scranton,SC is another good one that I believe is still there. both were along HWY 52. Vinegar BBQ in the Pee Dee.. just how I like it

I see in today's paper that Hudson's BBQ was voted Reader's Choice for best BBQ in the midlands. I gotta agree. We helped them celebrate Friday night with a bbq chicken and a rib dinner. I love their mustard based sauce and my wife likes the vinegar based one. There is peace in the house with Hudson's on the table.

Maybe I should submit that to Mr. Hudson for a slogan.

Yikes:

Little Pigs BBQ destroyed by fire

Little Pigs Barbecue won’t give up.
The popular restaurant, operating in Columbia since 1963, was destroyed by fire for the second time in 17 years Sunday after a small fire in a storage shed spread to the kitchen and attic of the building.
But owner Champ McGee said he would rebuild and reopen, just like he did after a fire in 1991.

“It’s the nature of the restaurant business,” he said. “We’ll be back.”......

It's a sad day in the BBQ world. But you know you're in South Carolina when a story like this makes the front page.
