No Caribou in Columbia. I like Cool Beans near USC and Courtyard Coffeehouse in the West Vista.

haha.

I did that in college a lot. Now Starbucks is a once a month thing at most.

They must have a few clustered down by the college that I've never seen. I know that there is all of one in the entire NE.

^There are 3 downtown - 1 in the Sheraton, 1 in the Vista and 1 in Five Points. I think their website has locations listed.

There are several in NE Columbia. I know there are 2 at the Village at Sandhill and 1 in the Target on Two Notch.

Thanks for the info. I am moving to Columbia in the next 3 weeks and will be in the Irmo area; any suggestions for that area of town?

Other than Starbucks in Columbiana Mall and at the Barnes and Noble on Harbison Blvd., I don't know of anything.

I've seen one in the Sandhill plaza, the other must be hiding from me. Never been to the Target on Two Notch so I guess that explains that. I've always been coffee-spoiled. I grew up in the PNW, and Gainesville has Dunkins and Starbucks everywhere.

Thanks for all the coffee feedback! I've finally visited Columbia this past week and was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely have to check out Immaculate Consumption and Cool Beans when I move.

There are no Caribou-owned stores in the Columbia market, but I know of at least one independent coffee place does serve & sell Caribou coffee - Desserts & More on Hardscrabble Road in NE Richland (as their name suggests, they actually sell cakes, ice cream, breakfast/dinner foods, etc.).

There is one out front in a seperate building, by the drug store, and the other is in the heart of the Village, right off the traffic circle (towards Belk).
