Places to work in Columbia with a marketing/sales/advertising background? (Greenville: coupons, insurance)

Most of my background is in sales. I love it, I love people, but I must be compassionate about a product that I know truly will be helpful...not just some scam. If I don't believe in the product, why would I want to sell it to others?? What companies in Columbia are a great fit for someone with a mostly sales and advertising background?

As soon as my house sells here in WI, I am going to be moving to Columbia. I visited the area earlier this year after I lost my job due to a company downsizing. The reason I chose Columbia is because I have the beach 1-1/2 away and my sister not far away either, in Greenville.

A few more questions that might help me look..... Do you get coupon booklets in the mail that you like? Do you go to a certain website for local coupons? What phone books do you use (I believe AT&T and YellowBook are the phone books there) If there are other phone books, please tell me. Yellow page and media advertising is really what I'm looking for.

I appreciate your help. Upon looking for jobs, there are so many companies that I can tell aren't legit.

Also, if you know of any place hiring a professional, honest, successful & highly-driven sales person, please let me know!!! I would be open to other industries....with the exception of financial and insurance!!

Another big part of my background is telecommunications. I worked for a CLEC for several years (competitor of main phone company, such as AT&T) So if you know of any technology places like that, please pass those along too. I believe NuVox is one.....
