Internet in Columbia
What options are there in Columbia in terms of ISPs. Specifically, who has the fastest internet available? Time Warner?

I use Time Warner and have had very few issues and it is fast enough for my needs. They offer a faster version but I can't find the need for it.

I use TW's Road Runner and have had no real issues. I know others who have it through AT&T.

I pretty much just want the fastest internet possible. I looked into Verizon's FIOS but I don't think it's available in the area.

My neighbor has the Time Warner cable internet with the "Turbo" package (I think that is what it is called). He plays games on line and swears that the turbo is much superior to the regular road runner.

Columbia is not in Verizon territory, along with the vast majority of the Southeast; it is legacy Bellsouth/AT&T territory. AT&T's U-Verse is the comparable product to Verizon's FiOS.

We have u-verse and really like it. It's a 12 mb connection over fiber optic, and there is a 16 mb option, if you need it.

Damn, I checked my address on the U-Verse page and it's not available in my area yet. Guess I'll just go with TW. Thanks guys.
