Appliance center near Lexington area (Columbia, St. Andrews: home, price, moving to)

I am moving to Lexington next month and will need to buy some appliances (washer/dryer, refrigerator) should I go to Lowes or is there a better place to check out? If they have a website that would be better. Thanks.

Lowe's, Home Depot are pretty close to each other in Lexington on 378. There is a Sears appliance store on 378 on the far west side of Lexington. Not sure if there are any locally owned places in town, but I can check the phone book tomorrow if you like.

Thats ok just was wondering, I will prob. hit Lowes as I will need a mower also..lol

Here is a place that is technically in Columbia, on St. Andrews. It's called the display center: www.displaycenter.com. Another place to check out in Columbia off Harbison, across the street from the mall is HHGregg, I think their website is www.hhgregg.com.

When we were shopping for a new washer and dryer we hit all the stores, Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, The Display Center, Best Buy, etc. We got a front loading washer and matching dryer as a scratch and dent set at Best Buy, paying about the same as Lowe's best price for a base model set.
