I am headed down to Columbia next month for a business conference. I was wondering what the good restaurants in Columbia that I have to eat at. In particular, what is the best pizza place?

My favorite pizza places are Za's on Devine Street, Schiano's on Two Notch Road, Pop's New York Pizza in Five Points and Mellow Mushroom and ZPizza, both on Gervais Street in the Vista.

Pop's in Five Points has great New York style pizza. For California style pizza there is Za's on Devine Street, not too far from Five Points and Zpizza on Gervais in the Vista. The other places I listed earlier aren't really pigeon-holed into a type of pizza.

There was a great thread about favorite restaurants in Columbia. Do a forum search and it should pop up.

Mellow Mushroom is my favorite spot. The spring-water dough is its trademark feature. Love It

Pop's and Mellow Mushroom are the best of the bunch in the downtown area. I used to think Za's was one of the best but it has really gone downhill in my opinion over the last couple of years. We quit going there entirely.
