Knowing in the south that the gay scene isnt very large..maybe in Atlanta, but in Columbia, South Carolina-I want to know about the lesbian clubs. Are there any? And what is the scene?-like music and people.

There is the L Word on Frink Street in Cayce, which is almost exclusively a lesbian bar. The Art Bar in the Vista has a large gay and lesbian crowd and Cabaret in Five Points is mixed gay men and lesbians, too. Most of the other gay bars in town - VG's, PT's 1109, Capital Club, H2O, etc. are predominantly men.

Hey there thank you! What is the exact scene of the L Word? Music or Crowd? Do you know anything about Club Fusion?

Club Fusion isn't a gay club any more, it is an R&B Club. I've never been to the L Word so I'm not sure about the scene there. Because of where it is located I wouldn't expect anything terribly trendy. I'm most fond of the Art Bar and Cabaret.

lol. Yea I figured that much...and I am so mad that it changed because I live up the block from what used to be known as CLub Fusion...And I may agree what your saying about the scene with the L word because I know its in the area of the airport. I will have to try out Art bar....But more than anything I was really looking for a lesbian club with great music and a wonderful atmosphere...but what can I expect. Thank you sooo much for your help!

Most of the lesbians I know go to Art Bar or somewhere else in The Vista and not the L Word. I do know some people that like the L Word, but smoking isn't banned in Cayce so I stick to going out on this side of the river, lol. It is so nice being able to go out and not smell like cigarette smoke.

VG's is Vista Grill by day, at the corner of Lady and Assembly. 1109 is across from the State House on Assembly Street.
