BoundtoRetire is on a distinguished road
Burr, LexingtonDad, Princessasabia, and Innovator82, thanks so much for your suggestions! Our list is certainly growing longer, maybe we'll have to stay a bit longer than we planned.

Innovator, you read me loud and clear. I grew up in a town that was predominantly Italian. Other than diners with well-rounded all-american menus, the restaurants were all Italian and each was wonderful. Boy do I miss those days...

We've moved around a bit over the years, and finding good Italian food has been imperativee. In Austin, TX, we'd drive 30 miles across the city to a restaurant run by a guy who grew up in Wappingers Falls, NY (15 mi from our hometown) to enjoy our favorite cuisine. Just up the road was a pizza place run by some Jersey guys -- filled with Shoprite memorabilia. When my job moved up to that side of town it was just the place to go to lunch.

Princesasabia... I have several Sabia cousins. Do you have family ties in Stamford, CT by any chance?

Again, many thanks!!
