I go to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation that was mentioned in Shandon. The pastor there is a wonderful speaker, and talks on some great topics. You can actually download audio from past sermons on their website.

The quote was that that particular Lutheran Church was the only one in the state that is fully inclusive of their gay and lesbian members and, yes, if a religious institution does not perform commitment ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples as members of that institution, then it isn't fully inclusive. Would you be a member of a church that wouldn't let you get married?

When we finally move, I'll be making visits to several churches. It should be interesting. Thanks for you input, Matt, Lex, and Jack.

Oh Jordo, my thanks go out to you too. All of the Lutheran churches I've ever visited previously seemed pretty conservative. I'm glad to know that is not entirely the case. Reformation Lutheran is on my list for a visit!
