Mss, there are a lot of gay organizations in Columbia, though not any in Sumter that I know of. Are you a teen or are you 20?The reason I ask is that many nightlife venues in Columbia will admit people between 18 and 21. Probably finding a job should be your number one priority.

My niece is a teen, and she's 7 years younger than you. You, Mss Sareezy, are an adult. I don't mean to sound harsh, so please don't take this personally, but it doesn't sound like you have much of a work ethic: "I'm thinking of finding a job". Thinking? At 20, if you're not a full-time student, a job should be at the top of your priorities. Get settled in, established, and your feet on the ground before you start worrying about where you can go to party.

Aside from that, search the main SC & Columbia forums for threads on Sumter for ideas of what to do. I'm not typically a 'search nazi' and don't mind rediscussing information, but there's so much out there now that I don't have time to retype it.

The Sumter Co fair will be here next week. The Sumter Value Cinemas will also be closing after next week (currently playing Transformers, if you haven't seen that, among others). The Sumter library (on Harvin, not the branch on Wesmark) is very nice. Etc...

But I iterate, find a job first. Once the 3rd ID moves in and brings with it spouses and dependants, finding one will become even more difficult.

It was harsh, but somebody needed to say it!

Definitely get a job, at 20 you can't expect your parents to support you and put a roof over your head indefinitely.
