The Columbia area housing market might have hit bottom. Sales are up, although prices remain the same.

We're still going to have a flood of foreclosures coming this year but we appear to be at the bottom. The number of houses sold is up but price is still going to lag. I doubt we see much appreciation for at least a year or 2. Investors are starting to grab the best deals. I work with a few and they've gotten more difficult to find as the year has progressed.

This may be a topic for another thread but, how active is the Columbia Board of Realtors in attracting business to the area? Here in Charlotte, a lot of the big realty companies work with the chamber in selling the city. Folks like Allen Tate are very helpful in selling the city. How is it in Columbia? Could it be improved?
