We recently moved to Blythewood, and there is a wonderful, sweet flower smell that wafts by every so often while we're walking the neighborhood. I remember smelling it around this time of year when I grew up in Dillon. My wife and I think we've pinpointed it to a bush that has small white buds on it. I may be able to post a pic later.
Is there any plant that comes to mind that is known for its aroma this time of year?
Yes, that appears to be a tea olive plant. Thanks for the photo!
