We are looking to make a relocation visit to the area soon. We thought it would be nice to stay in one of the areas that we are looking if it makes sense. We are currently looking in the Forrest Acres, Irmo and Lexington areas. These obviously may change once we are there and will also be checking out the surrounding areas. I know sometimes some hotels will even offer a stay 3 nights, get the fourth night free deal. We typically like to stay in something like the Hampton Inn but are open to any ideas. Thank you!

I'd stay in the Vista at the Hilton or the Hampton Inn or on Main Street at the Sheraton or the Marriott. These will be centrally located to the areas you want to look at and you'll be within walking distance of shopping and restaurants/nightlife in the evening.

both times we came down before our move we stayed at the Hyatt Place on 26 as it was close to the Harbison Rd shopping/eating areas, quick shot to the zoo, being on 26 gave us good access to Cola as well as hitting the road to Charleston, etc ( we made sure we did some recreational things as part of our relocation visits ) as well as the subs we were investigating. Plus the place itself was nice and had good "work" areas in the room which we needed as well

I know you said Forest Acres/Irmo but if you decide to stay in the city, consider The Inn at USC. It's right on the edge of the campus across from the Ernest Hollings Center for International Dialogue.

It's a beautiful Inn and convenient to everything. It doesn't feel like it's on the campus because the Hollings Center sponsors many meetings/conferences so there are always adults staying there.

New, clean, Stay Bridge Suites on Huger, with granite, stainless, wood floors, breakfast every morning, indoor pool, gym, full kitchen which is nice after house hunting all day. We are in the same process!!! Nice if you children are coming along as it is two rooms! Debi Burke is an OUTSTANDING realtor if you need one. We have looked at the same areas due to schools! Good luck.

Oh, i did look at The Inn at USC. . . it looks amazing. . . and priced well.
