Hey, I'm 23, ( turning 24 in April ). I live in the North-East Columbia area near Spring-Valley High School. I work at a job that doesn't pay as much, but the bills get paid, that's all that matters. I was wondering if there's a low-cost gym near-by, or near downtown where I can do some weight-training and probably swim as well. Anything around 15 to 20 bucks a month would be heaven. Suggestions? I've gone to Gold's Gym a couple of times, but forgot I had a contract with them. So, I do owe them a lot of money, which I don't have at the moment. Plus, they're very expensive too. I remember paying about 50 bucks a month ( sheesh. )

I don't know of any that low. The cheapest I'm aware of is Stronghold, which is $32/mo if you set up automatic draft. The good thing about them is there's no contract, so if things get tight then you can cancel/suspend your membership with no penalties. They don't have a pool, but they do have climbing walls and a bouldering room.

If you are around downtown check into the Drew Wellness Center (it has an indoor pool). Yearly membership is $264 for city residents and $300 for non residents.
