I heard that Kenneth Copeland is coming to Columbia,SC.
Oct. 14-16 at the Columbia Convention Center.

He's a minister with a huge following. If he's not inclusive he doesn't need to be doing his thing in a taxpayer-supported venue in my opinion.

I don't guess he can be inclusive if he's trying to sell any one religion in particular, but I meant not literal in his use of scripture to condemn any particular group of people..

Not to speak for him, but if he is a homophobic, gay-bashing preacher he won't be welcome by many in this community.

Not so sure about Copeland, he is one of the famous TBN prosperity gospel type preachers who are well-known for promoting and from the Oral Roberts line of theology.

I have an inherent problem when these guys who get on TV and plead for people to give to their ministries, and he's flying around on not one, but 2 of his privately-owned jets to 'minister' to people. I'm all for preachers/ministers who do good work being taken care of by their churches, but when the preacher's are living better than 99.99% of their people, I think there is a problem with that, especially when they are preaching to their people to be generous and givers and help the needy and poor, and many do this even though they are struggling b/c they are 'guilted' into it.

I know that God will ultimately judge everyone for their hearts and motives, but that doesn't mean we aren't to be discerning while on this earth of others.
