Outdoor World Store to Open Downtown

The Outside World, based in Dawsonville, is about a month from opening its 1025 Broadway store. They will sell canoes, kayaks, and other outdoor equipment. They will offer the largest selection of canoes and kayaks south of Atlanta. The store is being built with anticipation of the whitewater project being finished in the next year or so. The store will be 2-stories and have 6,300 sq. ft. of retail space.

That is great news and probably will provide some jobs for the area.

More than likely fixing up an older building along. Sounds like it is going to be a really nice store.

Construction crew would be needed to remodel, and they would have to hire for the store. They were open this last Saturday when I was downtown for the farmers market on Broadway. Any warm bodies in a previously empty storefront is a good sign to me!
