Are yall seriously fighting over cities? Of course the people from Columbus are gonna be bias! And of course the people from Macon are gonna be bias! I personally never thought Columbus had a bad rap til I got on here and I really don't understand it. Columbus is an awesome place. And I ain't seen any gays/lesbians uptown... I mean really?

True, our area isn't perfect, but as I've pointed out here several times... what place /is/?

Mando Corp Creating 426 Jobs in Suburban Meriwether County

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal along with representatives from South Korea-based Mando Corp. revealed plans to open a high-tech manufacturing operation in Meriwether County Industrial Park.

The company plans to invest $200 million and create as many as 426 jobs. It will supply electric power steering gears and anti-lock brakes to several vehicle manufacturers. Those manufacturers include Chrysler, General Motors, Hyundai and Kia.

The Meriwether County location will be Mando's third site in the United States. The new facility is expected to be finished by March 2013.

What an honor. Callaway is the only one in the US to be honored other than St Augustine. I agree it is a fantastic place to visit for everyone at least once in their lifetime.

Daewon America creating 100 jobs in LaGrange

Daewon America will spend $14 million to open a manufacturing plant in LaGrange which will bring 100 jobs.

Daewon America, a unit of Seoul, South Korea-based Daewon Kangup, makes springs and torsion bars for the automotive industry. The company is a KIA supplier and will be near KIA’s Georgia plant.

Daewon America expects to hire for the new positions in the second quarter of 2012.

Knology Selects Harris County's Northwest Harris Business Park for Network Technical Facility

Knology announced plans to begin construction on a new technical facility, which will be located in Harris County's Northwest Harris Business Park. Ground will soon be broken on the expected 6,000 sq. ft. facility.

The expansion will create 60 new jobs.

2nd Publix Store Set to Open in Auburn

Auburn residents will soon have a new Publix supermarket for their grocery shopping needs.
Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix plans to open a 45,600-square-foot store.

The new store is located at 2900 East University Drive in The Shoppes at Cary Creek. The new supermarket, which will have a drive-thru pharmacy window, will employ 116. This is the second Publix for Auburn. It also has a store at 2415 Moores Mill Rd. in a shopping center called Hamilton Place.
