Costco and Walmart's Neighborhood Market are actively looking for locations around Columbus. Great news for the city. Another new eatery called Newk's Express Cafe is also looking for a location in the city.

The $8.4 million Hampton Inn has now started construction in front of the National Infantry museum. The hotel will have 102 rooms and will be designed to match the museum. Great addition to the area. The project will be complete in January.

Whitesville Rd & Williams Rd, perfect spot for a Kroger or Neighborhood Market. Kitten Lake for another Neighborhood Market. Costco easily where the Swift mill used to be.

Someone should really try to get an Aldi in Columbus too, make the former CVS building by Schomburg/Warm Springs, Salvation Army Church into an Aldi.

Aldi has been rumored to be looking for awhile. That CVS is turning into a Family Dollar.

Interesting. Speaking of store locations, what I don't understand is why Pezold hasn't bought the little club next to Super 8 on Warm Springs/Manchester and put a McDonald's in there.

Also closing up Columbus Park by moving Best Buy from its current location in a new center next to Greystone. Maybe even getting a Chipotle, Dairy Queen, Tire center, bank, etc. to front the strip center. Turning the current Best Buy on Manchester into a Publix or Winn Dixie.

I'm moving to the area in about 2 weeks, and the top three on my wish list are Aldi, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

Trader Joe's would be great as would Whole Foods. We have Fresh Market which is sort of a "lite" version of Whole Foods. Never got the fascination with Aldi. Lord knows we don't need any more frozen yogurt places, dollar stores, or low level chain restaurans.

I personally save a ton of money doing my primary grocery shopping at Aldi, and then supplementing with a "regular" grocery store.

Trader Joe's and Aldi are owned by the same company.

I agree, Columbus is like a theme park with no rides.
