My understanding is when this interstate goes through, it will be assigned a new number and end in Panama City. I would like to see this happen.
It would certainly be a boon for Columbus.

are you saying the design is for it to go from tallahassee straight down to PC, or go from columbus to dothan, then down to PC?

right now, its pretty easy to take blountstown hwy from tallahassee down to 231 straight into PC. I think the only thing an interstate could do is parallel that road since it borders right along apalachicola nat'l forest. and i'd certainly hate to see them take it along hwy 98. that's my favorite 2-lane route in the panhandle.

Interstates that go north to south are numbered odd
East to west are numbered even
And 3 digit/ interstates are numbered after 2 digit
EX: 185 goes to 85/ as well as 285

There is already a 4-lane highway from Columbus to Panama City. That's the main route that vacationers from Atlanta take. I would like to see I-185 extend from Columbus down to Tallahassee via Albany.
