Children helped dedicate a new playground Thursday behind the Columbus Public Library, on land owned by the Muscogee County School District. The playground project has been spearheaded by the 2010, 2011 and 2013 senior classes of Columbus State University's Servant Leadership Program. Students and supporters have raised more than $400,000 to build the playground, but they need to raise more funds to finish the project. The playground is not yet open to the public.
