Mine, too, DW! We now have to do our part by flying from here, and spreading the word to family, friends, co-workers, and business associates of American's re-entry into the Columbus market! As we venture out more, post-Covid, I encourage people to eat out more and attend more concerts, sporting events, and live entertainment here. The more successful they are, the more such events will come here! As they say, "You can't take it with you, right?" The older I get, the more I believe in that motto!

Greystone Properties is planning another new property in Columbus behind Bonefish, Waffle House on Veterans. It will go from there over to Whittlesey by where Kimi's Christmas Tree Farm is at Christmas. It will include apartments, as well as a multi-use portion near Whittlesey entrance.

Great use for that piece. Hopefully the section by that Waffle House happens soon as well.

That would be an awesome spot for a casino or some nice office buildings! That is prime location right there!

That's good news! Meanwhile, I'm amazed that the Banks Food Hall website is still showing Stalls 4 and 8 "Open!"

I am sad to see Veri Best locate on Broadway. They will never have enough traffic long term to be successful. Lots of folks grab donuts to bring into the office and share and parking is challenging in the morning. I am not going to go park in the public garage and walk down. I would have thought with all of the challenges that had at the last location they would have made a better decision. I pray that I am wrong…

I think the walkup traffic in the new location will exceed the walkup traffic in their last location, and thus offset the likely less driveup traffic at the new location. i also believe that as business activity and traffic increases downtown/UpTown, Columbus folks will increasingly use the parking garages, like people do in larger cities with parking problems.

I don't really agree with that narrative. Parking on Broadway in the early mornings is typically wide open, nothing else even really opens until about 10 am, besides the coffee shops. And Broadway is smack dab in the center of the highest density of office workers around. Plus it has a high number of daytime shoppers walking around. Veri best was already previously on a high traffic corridor road and closed down from lack of business.
