Going down next Tuesday (10-29) to visit my niece, who's a theater major at CSU! Looking forward to seeing the whitewater rapids in action. Any recommendations on restaurants, shopping, etc. appreciated!

The Cannon......

Just walk around the area between Broadway and 2nd Ave. You will find lots of local shops and restaurants. Also check out the 14th street pedestrian bridge.

I noticed someone here said the Cannon Brewpub, and they do have good food. However, if you like to enjoy a better selection of beer, I'd say the Chattahoochee Brewing Co, just across the 13th St bridge is the obvious choice, you can watch the rapids rolling down as you sip down your tasty beverage!
