Highest millage rate in the state and a supposedly booming city with a huge future and now more cutback for local families and their children......but not their tax rates.
The city is trying to regulate building codes etc in certain corridors of the city (Williams Road and Midland) to stop business growth as well.
Look at their responses at the 5/27 city council meeting.....NONE.

This will cause a further decline in education locally without a doubt.

Here is a response from Mr Torbert who is a major contributor on the L/E site.
I have to agree with him 100 percent.

"This is a downward spiral leading to poor education in an area already noted for poor quality education. This leads to employers complaining that workers do not have the skills necessary to do they job. But, there is a bright spot in that skills in Columbus are simple. Using a drive in communication device "Go ahead with your order" and making change at the window, may be all the skills needed.
or processing credit cards or selling cancer supplemental insurance policies or making cup cakes or being a gov employee at Ft Benning"

Before our illustrious defender Col84 chimes in on the total let it be known that the L/E listed 69 but with retirements etc as well as 44 positions that they were in process of hiring would also be dropped as well which actually makes the total much higher.
