Work schedule is rough. It is retail so obviously you have to be there when people are shopping. My wife is a counselor at an elementary school so she is at work 7:30-3ish. Sometimes I would go in to work at 11 and come home by 10, when she is already in bed. So I would sometimes go a couple of days without seeing her. But I could handle that.

I saw this picture on Facebook one day that had a caption saying "There are only 940 Saturdays between your child's birth and them leaving for college."

I have a now 2 year old son, my wife is due any day now with our daughter. I had to take a step back and think if how well I was doing at Verizon was worth missing my kids grow up. At the end of the day, getting off at 5 and being off on the weekends far outweighs a pay drop, but my goal is to make up that money with some business development.

So with some proposed development between 2nd Ave. and the river, a lot of people are worried about the safety of the area. What do you guys think could change the perception and entice businesses to look more at the area?

I think the development itself will really help revitalize the area. Bringing more people to that area will definetly help change the perception. Also addressing homelessness would be a big help for that area. When I think of that area homelessness is one of the first things that come to my mind.
