Bottleneck on J.R. Allen Parkway gets $200,000 study by Department of Transportation

https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news...222359850.html

I've heard the traffic is often slowed to a crawl at that section of JR Allen in rush hour traffic. Fortunately I don't typically have to go that direction during rush hour, but the few times I have, I've taken a different route. I also think when I-14 eventually comes, this could already be in place to help support additional traffic.

Yeah it's pretty bad, traffic will back up as far as the on ramps for Bradley Park nearly every day.

It's the sharp S curve right before the bridge, semis and bad/timid drivers slow down which forces the bad/aggressive drivers to smash their breaks, forcing traffic into a jam.

If it's after four, I take Veterans home all the way, probably takes just as or longer, but it doesn't feel as bad.

This is definitely needed. We also need more lighting on our highways. I definitely think it would help improve safety.
