Moving to Columbus GA
I will be moving to Columbus GA towards the beginning of June. I am looking for a good Elementary School vicinity Columbus.
If you know of a high quality school, can you also tell me the name of any neighborhood that is close to the school? Thanks

Are you looking for public or private? For public, look at Middle Middle School (think that is the name). It is located in a suburb called Midland, but it is still in the Columbus city limits. For private, look at St. Anne or Brookstone.

I was a substitute at Double Churches and it was pretty good. Great kids. Those neighborhoods would be well off Double Churches road itself. You can go to the Muscogee County school website and there's a link where you can put in your address and it will tell you which schools you would go to.
Subbed at Midland Middle several times. It's a mixed school some kids are wilder than others but great teachers there. The assistant principal is awesome. He always came and checked on me. The kids were a little crazy but at the same time some of sweetest kids.

terrence81 - thanks for the information. Very nice. I'll check it out.
I am planning on renting a house anywhere that will allow my kids to continue getting a good education. Thanks again.
Any nice neighborhoods that you recommend by Double Churches?

i have heard double churches is really good. Which is why we moved close by last year even though my kids won't be attending for a few years since they are still to young. There are 2 *new* neighborhoods right next to this school. Silver Lake and Nature Trail - - which is much nicer and more affordable --- home are low 200Ks. There are many older neighborhoods too which probably have many homes for sale. Columbus seems to have a higher turnover rate since there is a large military presence.
