I don't think he/she/they are complaining but bringing up factual info as far as poverty/unemployment rates/local city issues all documented on websites or local paper from what I can tell.
How do you construe that as complaining?
How are their documented items suddenly become a personal opinion as there are several posts
I think everyone would be interested in trying to understand your issue.

When people delight in seeing unemployment numbers go up, hate to see jobs created in their city, making fun of the number of applicants who are waiting in line to apply, yea, that pisses me off. Everyone should be happy that Columbus has so much going for it right now compared to other cities.
When someone delights in job losses or that 1000 people were in line trying to better themselves, that's down right horrible in my opinion. All I have to say is be careful what you wish for because you might be eating those words one day. Then, you wouldn't be making fun of those people because you would be joining them in that line.
Got to get back to work now, have a great day!

Maybe if you kept up with the subject of the discussion you wouldn't be so confused.

I honestly have not read ONE post by anyone making fun of applicants, delighting in unemployment etc.
What in the world are referring to?
Anger issues?

It might not be in this particular thread, but there is well-known poster on here that makes many references to the fact that he gets his kicks out of high unemployment, job losses, etc. You will see who I am talking about .
