I will move to Columbus next month but I cannot decide whats a good area and whats not. I live in south FL miami and the reason I am moving is independence from my parents, pretty good reason ah. I am looking for nice quiet neighborhoods I dont mind if there are kinda far away from downtown area I have a car and I dont mind driving ( 10 mi max) I have read a lot of posts and some of the comparisons are not clear like the north is better are than the east ( north of what east of what ?) OK I have too potential places to move

One : 4312 Westport Road Columbus, OH 43228
Two : 5179 Dempster Dr. Columbus, OH 43228

They both seen nice neighborhoods.

Thanks for the help

I did some psychological work in SWCS this past year and the schools I was assigned to were both in Galloway, right around that area, so I drove through it every day.

To bottom line it, I wouldn't live there or recommend it to others. Both of those locations are so close to each other it really doesn't make a difference. The reviews for both of those complexes are also quite poor. The west side of Columbus in that area is generally not a place you want to be if you have any other options.

I don't know about those specific "complexes" but anything outside of 270 is better than inside. I don't consider those areas Galloway though. Galloway is further southwest.

There are some very nice apartments in Galloway and they actually have some decent income based ones as well (if you are worried about keeping price down). Before I got a job in St. Louis my wife and I were actually looking for apartments in Galloway.
