Smile Pickerington Schools?

I am thinking of moving to Pickerington. My family and I are new to the area. I know that their are two high schools in Pickerington. Which one is considered better or are they both the same in academics and athletic programs?
For that matter is it better overall to buy a house in the Northern end or Southern part of Pickerington? My husband and I like a neighborhood, but we also want a little bit of land and we like having a private backyard. Any suggestions of subdivisions? We will not be spending more that $200,000.

Pickerington North is considered to be the more desirable high school by most people. Now, someone may disagree with me because there is a bit of a rivalry between the two schools, but Pickerington North looks like a college campus. It is fairly new and beautiful inside. Both schools have excellent extracurricular activities and sports programs. The high school musical production I saw at North was definitely college quality. I don't think you could go wrong either way. Be aware that the neighborhoods that are zoned for North are generally more expensive than those for Central, although there are exceptions. Central takes in the Park Place subdivision, which is not as desirable to some. Hope this helps
