I will go look at it today, in general the area just to the east of Parsons ave (which your house is in) is not known for being as nice as the area just west of parsons, obviously though a street cannot make that big of a difference, but because the house is just barely on the other side of Parsons I would say that it is an okay area, if you go just further NE you get into some neighborhoods that have some problems. (the area that is east of this area and south of Olde Town East (south of Main St.) and west of Bexley, it is still relativly high in poverty and is more blue collar, that is still a few blocks east and north, or so, from where your looking at though. And i do know some other friends who have fixed up homes just east of parsons in the same area that your looking at.
I know, from another post, that you reside in New Albany at this point.
What is going to be use of this home? rental, retire, additional home?
