East side of Columbus rural relo...
Hello,
My family and I are relocating to Columbus, OH. and we are looking for a rural setting to move to. We want to get, at minimum, a 5+ acre space (maybe to build) on the eastern side of the city.
Your location recommendations are appreciated.
Btw, we are moving from KC.
Thanks,
Flim

Well what about Utica, Mount Vernon, Licking county and such? Is that not rural? Thats what I mean by east of Columbus.

Yes, you have many choices. I would recommend you do a search on the national realtor web site, Realtor.com, and look in the area between Johnstown and Lancaster. You will find many properties with at least a few acres. Many more exist as you go further east towards Zanesville on the I-80 corridor.
But don't worry about that, you have a ton of choices. Commuting times to Columbus generally aren't too bad out there too. I know a few folks who live as far away as Zanesville and still get to jobs on the east side of Columbus in under an hour, despite being 50 plus miles away.
Best of luck.

Thank you very much. We're looking forward to finding a home out that way. 30 minutes to 1 hour commute is certainly worth it to us to be out in the country. We'll both be working on the east side of the city.

Look into Licking County in the Pataskala area.

+1 I live out that way and enjoy it. Commute isn't that bad. Beats living near Columbus for sure.

Any recommendations further out from Pataskala?
Actually, anything to say about Johnstown?

I like Johnstown. Anywhere between the two is good in my book. ( I generally like Licking Co. )
