Thank you very much to both of you. The job I am going to is a rotational job where I am working in Zanesville for 2 yeras and then need to move somewhere else. So, I am looking for a townhome or Condo to rent. Also, my son is a special need kid so looking for a good school district too. I am from a medium size town of Michigan where there is an University and couple of colleges. So it is a blend of city and quite country environment plus diversity. I am looking for something like that; I have been to Zanesville for the interview so not considering that. Some of the people here also mentioned about Pickerington. Any Ideas? We are planning to come down to Columbus to look at the suburb areas. So, any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Pickerington sounds like a good area for you. It has become much larger in the last 20 years but still has more of a country feel than Reynoldsburg. A lot of Newark is quite rural and red-neck. The commute between Pickerington and Zanesville should not be a problem. Most of the traffic out of Pickerington in the morning seems headed toward downtown Columbus. The school system in Pickerington is far better than either Newark or Reynoldsburg and voters granted Pickerington schools' levy this year while the Reynoldsburg levy was defeated and Reynoldsburg schools may need to cut "extra curricular activities" such as art and music classes. I am certain there will be more opportunities for your special needs child in the Pickerington school district. I posted this before but you should stay away from Quail Hollow condominiums on east Livingston Avenue in Reynoldsburg. That area is simply awful.

My first apartment in the Columbus area was in Reynoldsburg. To me, it's a nice area, but I have heard stories of how it's not as good as it used to be. It was quiet for the most part which was real good considering I live so close to Broad St.

My first apartment in Columbus also was in Reynoldsburg- Briarcliff Road just south of Main Street. I lived there from 1994 to 1998 . It was a quiet sleepy area back then compared to where I came from Philly. Yes it has declined since then with section 8 ,noise and inner city types coming in.

Back then, I wouldn't have minded living anywhere in Reynoldsburg. I still wouldn't mind living there, but now it's certain parts I WON'T live in R-burg.

I wanted to chime in on the issue about commute from Pickerington. I would avoid I-70 all together. What you should do is take Refuge Rd through the east side suburbs until it turns into Route 104 and take it to High Street or I-71 and go north.
