I have been looking for apartments this summer, and I came across two possibilities on Craigslist. Does anyone know if these are decent (as in safe) areas?

1488 Hamlet St. (between North Fourth St and Summit St.)
1687 E. Livingston Ave

I am not familiar with these areas because when I visit Columbus, I stay in the suburbs (Dublin or Worthington). However these are really great price-wise.

Any help would be appreciated!

Neither one is in the best area. If I had to chose between the two, I would choose Hamlet St because its close to OSU and High St.

Of the two I would pick the Hamlet St location, however, I would still look in the suburbs to see what else is out there. Both of the two adresses arent in the best areas..

I didn't figure they were. The price was almost too good to be true! Thanks, though!

Look at apartments closer to campus, in Clintonville, or the northwest side.
