Default The Villas at Eden of Whitehall

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are looking for a new apartment in C-bus and have come across The Villas of Eden at Whitehall and they seem to good to be true. They are located between James Rd and Yearling Rd right off of Broad St. I've always been told that Whitehall is not the best of areas but when looking at the Crimereports.com website there is no crime around the place. Sure there is plenty of crime around James Rd. but nothing in the closer than that. Does anyone know anything about this place? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, I haven't heard of this complex, but could only find one review. When it's too good to be true, it likely is, and I'd say a place that has 3 BR units for $580 is not going to have the best tenants as your neighbors.

filthy people lived here and ex con for a land lord. Drive by shootings on a weekly basis and if you call the police they will ask you if you see any weapons and then will show up 1 hour later. Built in ground pool is a garbage dump now and infested with drug lords. If you are thinking about living here, turn around and run like hell.

Won't lie..the area is iffy. Not the WORST area in Columbus, but not the best. There is property crime in the area and some violent crime, especially in the area between Bexley and Whitehall. If you pay attention to your surroundings, you are unlikely to be a victim of violent crime. Property crime against buildings and vehicles, well, that just happens, and more so on this side of town.

There are two complexes that come to mind in that neighborhood... one is at Broad and James near Mayfair Apartments. I would avoid that area.

The other is farther east on Broad, towards Town & Country shopping center. It's not high end, but not necessarily a bad neighborhood "per se", and seems relatively quiet.
