I ask this question because it seems like the pretty, self reliant, smart, loyal, honest women are the ones who get overlooked for the drama-filled, needy, women who don't keep themselves up, and women who cheat. Well at least that's what the men in Columbus, OH like. I moved to Columbus, OH 6 months ago and what I been seeing is that the men want women who will lower their self esteem and their standards just to have a man. I'm originally from Chicago and the men there are "MEN"....grown men. So I'm not use to the dating etiquette here in Columbus. So I ask those who are in the Columbus area....Do men really want good/honest women?

I think you've already come up with your own answer. However, I doubt there is actually such a huge difference between Chicago men and Columbus men. I think you need to not get so discouraged after only 6 months!

I'd be interested to know where exactly are you trying to find guys at? I guess if you go to park street and hang out with

that might be the case but I lived in chicago for several years and saw very little difference in the population base.I can attest that there are plenty of good guys in the city maybe just not where you are looking. Good luck!

Okay...now I didn't say I was looking for a man...I'm not in search of one either...however the guys that i have been approached by (and their have been many) all seem the same...they appear to want women with low expectations and low standards...and their is a BIG different from Chicago and here...you have more variety in Chicago...

Ok not really sure what to tell you. I find it interesting that you can surmise a population base of 2 million people based on some guys that have attempted to pick you up. As far as variety goes the demographics are not that much different then chicago if you look at stats although chicago is the 3rd largest city in the US sooo you have to expect a little more variety. I disagree with your statements but that is your perception as my perception was that when I lived in chicago for 4 years I did not see large differences. Maybe its where I was and where you are. Again if you are hanging out at brothers or something I could possibly see your position.Anyways, hopefully you are approached by someone who doesn't want you to lower your standards and self esteem. that might be the case but I lived in chicago for several years and saw very little difference in the population base.I can attest that there are plenty of good guys in the city maybe just not where you are looking. Good luck!
