Arrow I hate living on East side, just want to go back to Dublin (am I crazy thinking there's not much here?)

Before we were married, my husband lived in Dublin in a small apartment and I lived out of state. We moved to a new apartment in Gahanna six months ago when we got married and we love the complex but I hate this side of town. I don't know if I see Dublin as a fun place to hang out because I only visited him on weekends.

It seems this side of town has NOTHING for us. There's no health foods store, no Boston Market, no Chili's (these are three places we love to go), no second-run movie theater, and only two gyms (Lifetime and Urban Active, which we hate). The place I just moved from had so many fitness facilities that I'm at a loss here. I can't believe how difficult parking is at both Lifetime and Urban. I tried the Gahanna YMCA too but was disappointed with the lack of intense classes. We were thinking about buying a house in Powell or Lewis Center but there seems to be even less stuff to do up there! I think we'd keep driving down to Dublin for everything.

These little things keep popping up, where I want to see or do something and we'll have to drive clear across town to Dublin. I don't know if location near a good gym is a bad reason to buy in a certain area. My husband wants to keep renting in Gahanna longer to save more. I just really hate Gahanna.

Can't really see staying somewhere that you have an obvious distaste for. I think Gahanna/New Albany/Westerville have some good things to offer, but I'm guessing you're either not finding them, or they just don't appeal to you like Dublin does. Have you considered the northern part of Hilliard? Close to Dublin, and a bit less expensive.
