I am thinking about moving next spring and I am particularly interested in apartments on or with very easy access to the Olentangy trail. Any chance I could find something like that for less than 700/mo? I don't care about distance from downtown as long as I have access to the trail. Thanks!

The real easy answer to this question is to inquire with the apartment you are interested in. It will be tough to get an apartment at that price anywhere safe in Columbus, let alone Olentangy Trail.

I dont think you would have a hard time finding an apartment within your budget along the trail, or nearby.

The olentangy trail runs along the Olentangy River. It runs from southern Delaware county all the way to german village.

You would have options in northern columbus, worthington, northwest columbus (henderson/bethel area) clintonville neighborhood of columbus, the olde north columbus neighborhood, campus, the short north, downtown, and german village.

Of these I would say Henderson/bethel (NW Columbus it's called) would be your best bets. For price Olde North Columbus (the area between clintonville and the university district) and the university district itself.

good luck! I believe this is the best area to live. You have access to parks, the river, near high st, and many apartments with walkable areas.

Olentangy Terrace Apartments - Official Site - Columbus Ohio

Years ago my wife and I lived here and it was cheap and close to the trail. I don't know how great the place is now though.

If you're okay with walking/biking a little to get there, check out Victorian Village and especially Grandview.

Definitely possible. I second Streetcreed's suggestion of the Henderson/Bethel/Olentangy River Rd. area. It's practically perfect for what you're looking for.
