Groveport Schools
I've been posting on Reynoldsburg and there schools. I saw an apartment I like in another area. It is in the Groveport school district. Anyone know anything about Groveport schools? Also the apartments are called Kensington Commons. Does anyone know anything about them? They have a Canal Winchester address. It says to get to them from I-70 you exit South on Brice Road. Follow Brice Road until it turns into Gender. Take to Refugee Rd and turn right. Is that area OK? Thanks.

I would honestly look a little farther down Refugee Road from Kensington Commons in Pickerington. There are a few complexes that are a little more but in Pickerington Schools, i think one is called Pickerington Ridge and the other is across the street just after Hines Road.

It is not a "horrible area" However, it is mixed income. It is an affordable area for the average middle class and some people who are economically disadvantaged. There are many middle class homes there, but like many sections of Columbus, the apartments near the okay houses make much less than their middle class counterparts. If your okay with a mixed income area, just average middle class, then it should be fine.

Groveport Schools have a bad reputation around Central Ohio. I don't think that the elementary schools are bad at all, but once you get to middle and high, they seem to have some problems. It isn't a bad area, and the Village of Groveport is actually very quaint. They have a great recreation center and pool in the summer, and some great activities for kids. Groveport has a problem passing school levies, which is how we here in Central Ohio fund our schools. I have several friends who live in the Groveport School system and they either homeschool, send them to Madison Christian (a private school in Grovport with a great reputation) or the Charter school that has begun in Groveport. Hope this helps.
