What is the BEST (i.e., your favorite) Columbus suburb?
Because let's face it, everyone thinks of his/her favorite as being the best, right?

GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS
All way.
Grandview has beautiful tree lined streets. Nice selection of homes. Nothing looks cookie cutter. The schools are small and good. There is walkable neighborhoods and it so close to downtown columbus and ohio state university. Also, the areas of Columbus along Grandview's borders are all very nice. Your close to entertainment, jobs, and nice neighborhoods. Also, grandview is seeing quite a bit of densification as it is pretty small in size and an older suburb. Yet, the new buildings always blend in with the older homes and apartments.

Yep, Grandview is gettin' a lot of love here! I was actually just over there this evening, and it's plain to see why the area is so popular. In some ways, it doesn't even feel like a "suburb" in the typical sense of today.
For that matter, I almost listed Clintonville on here just as a joke (which only Columbus residents would actually get) since it's really not a suburb—yet seems to a certain degree less urban than Grandview.

Grandview is HANDS-DOWN the best 'burb. So close to downtown (which is on the rise on its own), great restaurants and bars, fantastic houses and tree-lined streets, really good schools. Come on, folks, you know that G'view is the best.

That's certainly what the tally so far would indicate.
Rather surprising no one's weighed in for Worthington or Westerville yet! Anyhody...? Bueller...?

I did not weigh in for Worthington because Grandview is so much more progressive in my opinion. I am from Worthington as well. I love the place, but it is not nearly as liveable and progressive as Grandview. Worthington has potential but is still living this fake "colonial dream."
Also, Worthington schools includes areas that are from Columbus. Worthington city limits is much smaller than the district area. Grandview only has students from Grandview attending its nice small, personal district.

I can't vote - as I'm not familiar with many of the towns listed.

LOL! That's a hoot. I know just what you mean. Even standing out on the village green in front of St. Johns, it's kinda hard to feel very "Colonial" when you look out at all the monster traffic jams on 161 & High.

That would be the Worthington Kilbourne HS area, right? I know some kids who went there. Worthington Hills, Woods at Josephinum...all those places north & west of Worthington proper, I used to think were actually part of Worthingon! Then the Post Office kinda put its foot down and said, "You 43235 people are all part of Columbus!"

My husband and I rented an apartment in Grandview and then a townhome before we moved to Texas 24 years ago. I loved it then and can imagine its only gotten better.
I went to Jr High and High school in Hilliard and could not believe how much it had changed the last time I was there. Country roads my sister and I used to ride our bikes down past farm fields are now subdivisions. Time marches on!

I think I would've liked Hilliard alot better when you & your sister were there. When I lived there, it was an absolute traffic nightmare! Planning was non-existent, and those subdivisions are completely lacking in any sort of character whatsoever.
Of course, where I am now is pretty much the same.
Downtown/Old Hilliard is still nice though. And the county fair! Great stuff
